We are part of Citizens Advice, the largest network of independent advice agencies in the UK.

Our bureaux in Bermondsey and Peckham offer free advice on everything; from benefits, employment and consumer rights to housing, immigration and debt problems.

Our Legal Services Commission Franchise based at Bermondsey CAB offers specialist advice and representation in welfare benefits, housing, and debt by referral from our bureaux or other agencies.

Our Aims

To ensure that individuals do not suffer through lack of knowledge of their rights and responsibilities or of services available, or through an inability to express their needs effectively.

To exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policies and services both locally and nationally.

We undertake social policy work to solve problems at source.

We are a registered charity, dependent on a workforce of paid staff and volunteers.

Southwark Social Welfare Law Consortium

Bermondsey Citizens Advice Bureau has a contract with the Legal Services Commission to provide housing law, welfare benefits and debt advice in the London Borough of Southwark as part of a consortium. That means if we are unable to assist you ourselves we can ask our consortium partners to provide our clients with welfare benefits, debt and housing advice should they need it.
