Advice Team Volunteers - Gateway Assessors
Volunteers join our Advice Team as Gateway Assessors. Gateway Assessors find out about the client’s problem, what they need and how we may be able to help them. This may be providing information such as a factsheet or leaflet, making an appointment for the client to see an adviser, or making a referral to another organisation.
Time Requirement for this Role: A commitment of 2 days per week (9.30 am – 4.00 pm) for at least 1 year is required for this role. Initial training to become a Gateway Assessor takes approximately 7 weeks and during this period there is a weekly session with the Training Supervisor which takes place on Tuesdays.
